Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research from the University of Massachusetts, at Amherst, USA.

Joseph started his professional career working as an Engineer in the manufacturing, construction, and maintenance sectors in the United States, Lebanon, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Joseph worked about 6 years in these sectors before shifting to the reinsurance industry. He joined the Cologne Reinsurance Company (later General Reinsurance Company) in April 1997 as a Facultative Engineering Underwriter based in Cologne, then in Beirut, and then in Paris, until October 2004.

In February 2005, Joseph joined the Swiss Reinsurance Company and worked in Zurich until November 2010. Joseph was a Senior Engineering Underwriter who worked for the Global Engineering Unit. Joseph was directly responsible for some of the markets in the Middle East, the GCC countries, and Europe. He worked on various internal projects and supported other local offices in Asia and North America.
 
Joseph relocated back to Beirut in December 2010 to establish PRECISION s.a.l. and PRECISION s.a.r.l.
